Terms of Use
Version 1.1 · Last updated 1 October 2026
These are the rules for using RezaCards. They are also sometimes called terms and conditions — it is the same thing, and this is the only such document, so there is nothing else to cross-check.
Part one is for customers collecting stamps. Part two is for cafés running a loyalty program. Part three applies to everybody. Read the part that is yours.
RezaCards is operated by Ali Reza Rasooli, Auckland, New Zealand. Using the service means you accept these terms. How we handle personal information is covered separately in our Privacy Policy.
Part one: if you are collecting stamps
What this is. RezaCards gives you a loyalty card that lives on your phone. There is no app to install and no account to create. A barista scans the code on your card and your stamps go up.
It is free. We do not charge customers anything, ever.
The reward comes from your café, not from us. This is the most important thing on this page. Your café decides what the reward is, how many stamps it takes, and whether to honour it. We provide the card; the coffee is between you and them. If a café refuses a reward you have earned, closes, or leaves RezaCards, we cannot give you the reward, and unredeemed stamps have no cash value and cannot be transferred.
Your card code is a key. Anyone who has the code behind your QR can see your card. Keep screenshots of it to yourself, the way you would a physical loyalty card.
Please do not cheat. Do not try to add stamps yourself, copy a card, use someone else’s card, or interfere with the service. If a card is clearly being abused we may reset or remove it.
Stopping. Delete the card from your wallet whenever you like. To have your information removed from our systems as well, see Delete or request your data.
Part two: if you run a café
Your account. You are responsible for your account, your password, and everything the staff you add do with it. Add people you trust: any staff member you add can give out stamps and rewards.
Your rewards are your promise. You set the reward and the number of stamps, and you are responsible for honouring what you have promised your customers. If you change the deal, be fair to people who were part-way through, and tell them.
What you upload. You must have the right to use any logo or artwork you upload, and it must not be offensive or unlawful. Anything you upload is shown publicly on your customers’ cards, including any contact details you add.
Messaging your customers. You may send occasional messages and offers to customers who have gone quiet. When you do:
- Messages must relate to your café and its loyalty program. No selling access to anyone else, and no messaging on another business's behalf.
- Customers who have switched messages off are excluded automatically. You cannot override that, and you must not try.
- There is a limit of one message per customer every 14 days, which we enforce.
- You are responsible for complying with the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007 and any equivalent law where your customers are.
- Nothing misleading, offensive, or unlawful. These messages land on people's lock screens; treat that access with respect.
Your customers’ information. You and RezaCards both have obligations to your customers under the Privacy Act 2020. Use the customer information you can see through RezaCards only to run your loyalty program. Do not export it, sell it, or use it for anything else.
Cost. RezaCards is currently free for cafés. We may introduce paid features later. If we do, we will tell you before you are charged anything, and you will never be billed without agreeing first.
It is a beta in places. Some features are marked as beta. They may change or be withdrawn.
Ending it. You can stop using RezaCards at any time and ask us to delete your café. Be aware that deleting your café also deletes your customers’ cards and their stamps with you — so tell them first. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used unlawfully, or puts customers at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will warn you first.
Part three: applies to everyone
We do our best, but we cannot promise perfection. RezaCards is provided as it is. We do not guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of faults. Phone wallets, push notifications and networks are outside our control, so a card may sometimes update later than you expect.
Limits on what we are responsible for. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost goodwill, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us in the previous twelve months — which, if you have paid us nothing, is nothing.
Your legal rights still stand. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 that cannot legally be excluded. If you are using RezaCards for business purposes, you agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act does not apply.
Changes. We may update these terms. The version and date at the top of this page will change, and for significant changes we will tell café owners directly. Continuing to use RezaCards after a change means you accept the new version.
Which law applies. These terms are governed by the law of New Zealand, and the New Zealand courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
The rest. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing something once does not mean we have given up the right to enforce it later.
